Andy Jones

After his birth in a North London hospital Andy quickly developed a penchant for requisitioning his parents electrical goods, dismantling them and drumming on the pieces. Shortly after this period, he found himself touring the world extensively with maverick Jazz eccentrics Ronnie Scotts Rejects.

On his settling back in the UK, he built a recording studio and formed the rock band Koot. They quickly signed to WEA Records and publisher Warner Chappell with Andy co-producing their debut album Skyjacked and singles Mississippi Soul and Dentist Chair.

During this period Andy collaborated with Morcheeba on the million selling album Big Calm and worked alongside producers Bacon & Quanmby (Finley Quaye), Johnny Dollar (Gabrielle, Massive Attack) and Tim Goldsworthy DFA.

As well as producing his own album The Lord's First Eleven under the name Lord Large for Acid Jazz Records, Andy has gone on to work with Gnarls Barkley's Danger Mouse on The Shortwave Set's album Replica Sun Machine, Sonny J's Disastro for EMI and co produced Glenn Tilbrook's, of Squeeze fame, latest album Pandemonium Ensues. Andy has also produced and written music for over forty television shows and commercials.

He is currently looking for a showcase big enough for his ever-expanding collection of Stylophones...
